Dr. Soman was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He attended, Stuyvesant High School in Brooklyn and the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Soman attended dental school at Temple University. He completed his post-doctoral training at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry where he received a certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Periodontology.
Dr. Soman started his practice in Manhattan in 1984. He has been in his present office since 1988. He was an assistant clinical professor at New York University school of dentistry and was head of the periodontics section at St. Luke's - Roosevelt hospital center.
Dr. Soman's interests in Periodontology include non surgical therapy, respective therapy, periodontal regeneration, mucogingival plastic surgery, crown lengthening, periodontal regeneration, cosmetic periodontal surgery, bone regeneration, implant surgery and sinus augmentation.
Dr. Soman lives in Long Island with his wife, Marina . He has two grown children and a granddaughter.
Dr. Soman actively pursues continuing education keeping abreast of new techniques and technologies in the dental field.
